Pre-registration is required which is obtained by purchasing your ticket. Students must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Each student ticket includes ONE free adult ticket. Please pay attention to the grade level recommendations for each program in order to have the best experience. The first program will begin promptly at 10:00 AM. • 1/23: Homeschool Science Day (Callaway Resort & Gardens, Pine Mountain)

    • “Conservation Is Cool” - In this engaging lesson, students will explore the concept of conservation and why it is essential for protecting our planet's resources and wildlife. Through interactive discussions and activities, they will learn about different conservation efforts, such as recycling, saving water, and protecting habitats. Students will also brainstorm practical actions they can take in their daily lives to help the environment. By the end of the lesson, they'll understand that everyone can play a role in caring for our Earth!

  • 1/24: Homeschool Snow & Snowflakes (Lagrange Memorial Library, Lagrange)

    • Let's have fun learning about snow! Join us for a mini lesson, snow craft, and snowball fight!

  • 1/28,1/29: MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM (Springer Opera House, Columbus)

    • It’s 1927, and Ma Rainey, the Mother of the Blues, is in a recording session in a rundown Chicago studio. Fiery and determined, Ma Rainey fights to retain control over her music while her cocky trumpet player, Levee, dreams of making his own way in the business. As they struggle with the exploitation and rampant racism in the music industry, the action builds to a dramatic conclusion. More than music goes down in August Wilson’s riveting portrayal of the African American experience.

May be inappropriate for ages 12 and under for mature themes, language, violence, alcohol use, and racial themes.

  • 1/28: Homeschool Round Table Talk (Chattahoochee Valley Learning Resource Center, Columbus)

    • Sometimes you need answers to your homeschooling questions, something you need to circle up with some other moms out of the house! Whatever it is, come circle up with us. Monthly meet up for homeschool mom (or dad) support. Whatever curriculum, no matter how long, we’d love to see you here. Bring a snack to share and any questions for discussion. Our topic will be “What to do if the curriculum’s not work?” Perfect for mid year discussion. We will lead with this this but feel free to bring any other questions you have. Invite a friend who may be considering homeschooling or veteran homeschool mom who’s kids are already grown. This event is free and open. Please RSVP if you’ll be attending.
