Here’s what’s coming up this month:

  • 12/5: Homeschool Hangout - Japan Studies (Harris County Public Library, Hamilton)

    • Our Homeschool Hangout meets the 1st Thursday of each month. Topics vary each month and cover everything from STEAM to guest speakers. All ages are invited to participate, though programming is targeted toward middle elementary grades.

      This month Mrs. Alyson is sharing interesting facts and information she learned on her recent trip to Japan.

  • 12/5: Hanging with Nature (Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park, Pine Mountain)

    • Join us for a nature craft using paper pulp and flower seeds to create a holiday ornament you can hang on your tree and then plant in the spring for summer flowers! We will bring together art & science and discuss the lifecycle of trees and flowers. This program is perfect for homeschoolers and art and nature lovers alike. $10 per participant $5 Parking. Pre-register and pre-pay at the park office before the event by calling 706-663-4858.

  • 12/10: Homeschool Play Day (Chuck E Cheese, Columbus)

    • On the 2nd Tuesday of every month, join us for Homeschool Play Days! From open – 4pm, score 90-minutes of All You Can Play games, a reusable Play Pass card, unlimited soft drinks, and all the E-Tickets you can earn on gameplay for just $11.99 per kid. A savings of up to $30 off! Simply arrive at your Fun Center and tell a cast member you’re there for Homeschool Play Day to receive this offer.

  • 12/10,12/12,12/18: A Christmas Story Arts in Education Performances (Springer Opera House, Columbus)

    • Based on the 1983 classic film, “A Christmas Story: The Musical” captures the sentimental spirit of the holiday season. Set in 1940s Indiana, the story revolves around young Ralphie’s quest for his dream Christmas gift: an official Red Ryder Carbine Action 200 Shot Range Model Air Rifle. With a blend of humor, warmth, and a touch of holiday magic, “A Christmas Story: The Musical” offers a festive and family-friendly experience that resonates with audiences of all ages. Presenting new seasonal songs such as “It all comes down to Christmas”, “A Major Award” and “Ralphie to the Rescue”, these festive tunes are sure to put you in the holiday spirit.

  • 12/13 & 12/27: Homeschool Fridays (Treadstone Climbing Gym, Columbus)

    • for Homeschool Families. Every 2nd AND 4th Friday each month 3pm - 6pm. Gear Included

  • 12/19 or 12/20: Homeschool Science Days (Callaway Resort & Gardens, Pine Mountain)

    • Owl Pellet Palooza: Marvel at what’s on the menu for our nighttime predators during this hands-on dissection activity. Students become nature detectives as they work individually or in teams to identify the bones of owl prey items. If they’re lucky, they may be able to piece together a whole skeleton!

  • Homeschool P.E. (Sky Zone, Columbus)

    P.E. Break at Sky Sky Zone, Fridays 1pm-3pm // Only $5 per HomeSchool Student (not available during School breaks and Holidays) Discounted jump prices specifically for Homeschool students. Take a break from the books and get some awesome, healthy exercise in on a consistent basis. Not valid during school breaks (i.e., Summer) Discounted prices offered for all HomeSchool students of any age. Every Weekday during the school year between 1pm – 3pm.

  • School Day Play (Urban Air Adventure Park, Newnan)

    Don't forget starting next Friday we will have Jumperoo from 10am-12pm and School Day Play with follow right behind from 12pm-3pm.

  • Homeschool Fun Days (Fairmount Community Center, Sharpsburg)
