Our Homeschool Journey: A Weekly Reflection

January 20-24

Weekly Reflection: This week we got snow in Georgia! It was actually a good amount of snow that gave us the opportunity to feel a little bit of “home” in our new state. You’ll see on Wednesday that we didn’t do any book work below but rather enjoyed playing in the snow and remembering all of the fun snow days in Ohio. The blessing of life is we have the opportunity to lean into these natural pauses in life. Whether that’s a weather event like snow, the birth of a child, a sick day or an unexpected cancelation that frees up your schedule. Sometimes we may not be cognizant of these unplanned events that give us the precious gift of time that we may take hold of. I’ve been guilty of letting these moments pass us by as the chaos of life laid heavy on my shoulders and I kept chugging along with other things to fill the time. Isn’t it a wonderful, beautiful and life-giving treat though when we rest in these natural unexpected pauses in life embracing the lifelong memories we create!
